Contact Lenses

At Advanced Vision Care and Cedar Hill Eye Care, we understand that every patient is different, and there’s no one-size-fits-all solution when it comes to contact lenses. That’s why we offer a range of specialized contact lenses for our patients in Mansfield, Fort Worth, DeSoto, and Cedar Hill, Texas.

Whether you have keratoconus, astigmatism, or other conditions that make wearing traditional contact lenses challenging, we’re here to help you find a contact lens that meets your needs and improves your quality of life.

Orthokeratology contact lenses

Orthokeratology, or ortho-k, are special contact lenses that gently reshape your cornea overnight. This allows you to see clearly without having to wear glasses or contacts during the day. Ortho-k is a popular option for people who aren’t suitable candidates for LASIK or other surgical procedures. These lenses can also slow down the progression of myopia in children.

Rigid gas permeable contact lenses

Rigid gas permeable (RGP) lenses are ideal for people with astigmatism, keratoconus, or other irregular cornea conditions. These lenses are made from rigid materials that keep their shape, ensuring sharp and clear vision. They also allow more oxygen to pass through your cornea than soft lenses, making them a good option for people with dry eyes

Scleral contact lenses

If you have keratoconus or other corneal irregularities, scleral lenses may be a great choice for you. These specialized lenses are larger in diameter than traditional contact lenses, covering the entire cornea and resting on the sclera (the white part of the eye), providing better stability and comfort. Scleral lenses usually offer better vision and longer wear time than traditional contact lenses, and they work well for people with dry eyes.

Multifocal contact lenses

If you need vision correction for both near and far distances, multifocal contact lenses may be a good option. These lenses have different areas that focus your vision, allowing you to see close-up and far away without needing multiple pairs of glasses. Multifocal contacts are a popular alternative to bifocal glasses for people over 40 who have trouble seeing up close and far away.

Toric contact lenses

Toric lenses are specifically designed for people with astigmatism, a common condition where the eye’s cornea is irregularly shaped. This can cause blurred or distorted vision, making it more challenging to see clearly. Toric lenses have a unique design that can help correct astigmatism and offer sharp, clear vision.
