
Dr. Greg Frey
Optometrist
Dr. Greg Frey is a Nebraska native & direct descendent of early Nebraska pioneers, however he has spent the majority of his life in Texas. In 1994 he received his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Nebraska Wesleyan University, where he was a member of Beta Beta Beta Biology Honorary. In 1998 he graduated from the University of Houston College of Optometry, where he was a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa Honorary Society. While at UHCO he was trained with an emphasis on contact lenses, pre- and post-op surgical care, diagnosis and treatment of eye diseases, and general optometry. He also received numerous other academic awards throughout his education. Dr Frey is certified by the National Board of Examiners in Optometry & the Texas Board of Optometry. He is also a certified optometric glaucoma specialist.
Dr. Frey has lived in the Grand Prairie/Mansfield area since 1999. He and his wife, Maggie, who is a native Texan, have been married since 2001. They have two daughters and a variable number of pets. His community service includes volunteering for Lions Club Low Vision Clinics and community clean-up days. Interests outside optometry include motorcycles, sports, music, investing, and physical fitness.
Dr. Frey has been with Advanced Vision Care since 2014. He provides care for our patients at our Fort Worth, Mansfield, and DeSoto locations.
