
Dr. Bonita Banh
Optometrist
Dr. Bonita (Bonnie) Banh is a Texas-licensed Therapeutic Optometrist and Optometric Glaucoma Specialist, providing comprehensive, family-focused eye care. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology with honors from the University of Georgia and her Doctor of Optometry degree with honors from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. During her training, she received the Eschenbach Award for excellence in low vision and ocular disease and was inducted into the Beta Sigma Kappa International Optometric Honor Society.
Dr. Banh provides full-scope primary eye care for patients of all ages, with a special focus on myopia management for children and teens. She offers advanced, evidence-based treatments to help slow the progression of nearsightedness, including MiSight® 1 day contact lenses, Stellest® lenses, and low-dose atropine therapy. She works closely with families to create personalized treatment plans that support long-term eye health and visual development.
Dr. Banh also has a strong clinical interest in dry eye treatment and ocular disease management. She evaluates and treats patients experiencing dry eye symptoms such as burning, irritation, redness, and fluctuating vision, using customized treatment approaches. In addition, she provides ongoing care for conditions including glaucoma, macular degeneration, and diabetic eye disease.
Dr. Banh is committed to delivering compassionate, detail-oriented care and building long-term relationships with her patients and their families. She stays current with the latest advancements in optometry to ensure her patients receive modern, effective treatment options.
Dr. Banh is originally from a small town in Georgia and now lives in Midlothian with her husband and two children. Outside the office, she enjoys spending time with her church family, volunteering at church events, traveling, and watching sports—especially the Georgia Bulldogs and Atlanta Braves.
